Organization
An organization represents a company, business unit or tenant in Sign. It is the top of the resource hierarchy and owns everything beneath it: devices, templates, themes, teams, areas, and users.
Structure
Organizations manage which template types are enabled, default themes, partner relationships, and branding settings. A parent organization can oversee multiple child organizations in multi-tenant setups where a property management company manages several independent tenants.
Every resource in Sign belongs to exactly one organization. When a device, template or any other object is created, it is automatically associated with the organization of the user who created it.
What an Organization Contains
| Resource | Relationship |
|---|---|
| Devices | Physical displays registered to the organization |
| Templates | Content layouts available for assignment |
| Themes | Visual styling applied across templates |
| Teams | Logical groupings within the organization |
| Areas | Geographic groupings of displays |
| Assets | Media files and images |
| Settings | Configuration and preferences |
Partner Model
Organizations support multi-partner architectures with markup tracking. A partner organization can manage devices and templates on behalf of customer organizations while maintaining separate branding and billing.
